You gotta keep an eye on what you believe because it’s gonna be what you will experience. You see, your belief system is a mechanism that belong to no one and is uniquely yours. It is influence by your desire and controlled by your thoughts and actions. So in a nutshell, your success is determined by the strength of your belief.
What do you really want?
Quite often many of us do not know what is our dream, in fact we just know what we don’t want instead. Now is a good time to analyse your goals and determine the end result you want to achieve. Try adding your goals in writing and place them where you can see them throughout the day to begin with. There are time were you might not find your goal paper you wrote, it might end up in the laundry or misplaced somewhere or even forget to carry around you. My preferred method is to embed it in my mind and once known I read out both morning and night. You can memorize it in a matter of few days, but read them frequently to keep them fresh on your mind.
Busy yourself in curiosity
Research and learn as much as you can on how you can achieve your goal. Use all possible resources such as books (I do find audio book effective too), CDs, courses and people with the right mindset. That’s right, live life to the fullest and approach those who love what you want. Talk to as many people as possible who are already successful in what you want to achieve, I would stutter and lose confidence before I can talk. After many experience, I keep trying until I got my message across of what I want to say. I mean the worst case scenario they will ignore you and the best thing that can happen is that they’ll become your mentor, offering support and encouragement. Chances are you will receive at least one great strategy from many of the people you come in contact. This method is the least expensive and most rewarding.
Stand out in uniqueness
Why fit in when you were born to stand out? -Dr. Seuss
Take the ideas from what you’ve learnt and once you know how to duplicate from the best, enhance them and come up with your own creative process. Think of how you can approach your goal in a way that no one else has ever done. Dare to be different. Don’t be afraid to take risks. You’ve got nothing to lose. If doubt creep up weigh out the difference by writing a list, to show the negative things that could happen and then a list of all the best possible outcomes. Most importantly, always maintain your high concentration on your desired result.
Knock out competition by being better
Recall your memory when you were a child and saw your older siblings or friends did something challenging for example riding a bike, you didn’t look at their scraped knees and elbows and say, “Whoa, I ain’t doing that because it’s gonna hurt.” Instead, you plead to try it for yourself. With a great deal of practice and often struggle, you gradually learned how to maintain your balance. Before long you were trying to “out do” your mate with your speed or fancy tricks. When you fell, you would get back on and try again with even greater determination. From your very first effort, you believed in your mind that if you got back on, you would eventually learn to ride. There was no distraction to make you feel the best in the world! You had tunnel like vision.
If you see obstacles in front you, then you will also see problems. Look at them as a solution waiting to be discovered. If you got concern about your plan not working, then it ain’t gonna work. If you are influenced by the power of negative people, then you will never be any better than they are. Believe in yourself and what you are capable of achieving. Key is to listen to your heart.
To discover your dream, recall who you were before the world told you who you should be.
When your desire to succeed is stronger than the pain, there’s no turning back. I urge you to look at your goals just like you did when you were a child before you learned about self doubt and negative criticism. Remember, anything is possible as long as you believe. Make a commitment that you will not let anything or anyone, including yourself stand in your way of fulfilling your ambition.
